Student Exercise 1 - Create XML File

  • 1. Create a contacts XML file using data in the attached
    contacts PDF..
  • 2. Students will upload development site to development site.
  • 3. Students will preview in browser development files.
  • 4. Students will upload development site to live site.
  • 5. Students will preview in browser live files.

Student Exercise 2 - XML Data Retrival

  • 1. Create nine (9) different HTML DOM Node Actions from Examples:
    • Use your XML file for this exercise.
    • Create separate page for each HTML DOM Node Action.
    • One DOM Node Action should be created for each type of DOM node action.
    • More then one DOM Node Action per node type can be included.
  • 2. Link each HTML DOM Node Action page to your Exercise Home page.
  • 3. Test each HTML DOM Node Action on Developmental site.
  • 4. Students will upload tested Exercise Homepage from development site to live site.
  • 5. Students will preview live site in browser.

Student Exercise 1 - Create DTD

  • 1. Create a contacts DTD file using your XML data file.
  • 2. Students will upload DTD file to development site.
  • 3. Students will preview DTD file on development site.
  • 4. Students will upload development site to live site.
  • 5. Students will preview ive site.

Student Exercise 2 - Create XML Schema File

  • 1. Create a contacts XML Schema file using your XML data file.
  • 2. Students will upload XML Schema file to development site.
  • 3. Students will preview XML Schema file on development site.
  • 4. Students will upload development site to live site.
  • 5. Students will preview live sites.

Student Exercise 3 - Create XSLT File

  • 1. Create two XSL files using two different XSL functions.
  • 2. Link the two XSL files and XML file to two individual XSLT HTML files.
  • 3. Link the two XSLT HTML files to your homepage.
  • 4. Students will upload XSLT HTML files to development site.
  • 5. Students will preview XSLT HTML files on development site.
  • 6. Students will upload development site to live site.
  • 7. Students will preview live site.
